The Mantis Stare by mtsofan The Mantis Stare by mtsofan
I met someone tonight who didn't really want his picture taken. I took it anyway.

Yes -- I thought you just wanted to see it as an experiment.
Would you like me to put it back in the gallery?

Oh, I just went back to it to show my husband before ordering, and it wasn't there. If you don't mind putting it up again and leaving it a couple of days just until we order, that'd be great!!

That's phenominal!! Your macros are always so amazing. I feel like they should get so much more recognition than they do. Have you considered promoting them more heavily? (Could you come up with a spiritual theme for some of them? Sell them. Nature photographs with spiritual capations taken by a real minister... It might take off. You could donate some of the money to your favorite nature-related charity and use that as a selling point, too.)

Those are interesting ideas. Sometimes, coffee shops will display the work of local photographers. I happen to be living in the right place to find a venue; art is a way of life for many people around here. I'm going to keep my eyes open as I find avenues of contact with the community for my church work.

Oh, good!! I hope it works out. I mean, even if it's not a big money making thing, more people need to see your work. It's just that good. How large a format can you go on that mantis? I wouldn't mind having a huge one....

Well, according to DA, it'll go to a 10 x 15".
But, I've printed photos larger than DA recommends.

I'm willing to get one, but I can't find the right-side-up version anymore. (Then again, as a print, I guess it doesn't matter does it? I can just... turn it.)

I'm not aware of any difference -- are you? It can be rotated on the screen, or physically, if it's a print. I'll be happy to put the rotated version back up, if that would be better.

No, as a print, I can turn it either way.

That's interesting! I wonder if we have the green-eyed variety, too!
